Ministries

All Saints has so much to offer. Involvement in church life allows us to build a community and grow in faith relationships together. We were made to love one another, and this is how we do that.

Ready to get involved? We are always looking for volunteers to jump in and join some of our ministry groups. For more information on any of our ministry groups, or if you would like to volunteer, please contact the church office.

Newcomers

Our newcomers team is responsible for all aspects of welcoming visitors and parishioners to our church. They also help new members get connected to our church community and match their interests. Our newcomers team includes our dedicated ushers and greeters on Sunday mornings.

Worship

The worship committee shares responsibility with our clergy and helps assist in our weekly services. The worship committee includes our Altar Guild who is in charge of preparing the altar each week and our flower guild who arranges the beautiful altar flowers each week.

Congregational Care Team

We welcome any and all to the new Congregational Care Team!  Our mission is to support our All Saints community and help our rector at the same time. We hope to call those unable to worship in person, send cards for special times, deliver flowers after church, and provide occasional sweet treats and meals for those in need. We will also offer visits/lay eucharistic visits for those requesting them.

We believe “many hands make light work,” and we hope you will join this new and important ministry. Please contact the church office if you are interested in joining this vital ministry. You choose your time commitment: phone calls, card writing, and baking can be done from home. Flower delivery is once a quarter, and we may even have “Casserole Cooking Parties” twice a year at church! The possibilities are endless, and we welcome your input and new ideas for serving our church family!

Prayer

If you have a prayer request to share, please email our clergy or call the church office at 804-288-7811. We also offer a prayer group, "Pray for the Saints", on Thursdays from 12:15-1:00pm in the All Saints library. Everyone is welcome to join whenever they can. This is a comforting, healing and forward looking time of prayer. For more details, please email us

Buildings + Grounds

Among the many things that make All Saints so great are its lovely, serene gardens and buildings. We can always use more volunteers helping to care for the space we call home. We have bi-annual work days (one in the Fall and one in the Spring) to spruce up our grounds and our indoor spaces. We also have a community garden which we grow vegetables to share with Welborne United Methodist Food Pantry. If you would like to help us in the garden, please email us.

Finance + Stewardship

"Walk in love as Christ loved us and gave himself for us, an offering and sacrifice to God" (Ephesians 5:2). Our Finance and Stewardship committees are responsible for helping to raise the money we use to finance our many ministries. In addition to a yearly stewardship campaign, our finance committee helps with various financial operations and helps to develop our annual operating budget.

Life Events

We have various groups to assist in some of life's biggest moments and events such as weddings, baptisms, confirmations, and funerals. These groups also serve as the go-to when we have other major events. If you would like to join our wedding guild or funeral reception committee, please reach out to us!
