Saturday Lunch Ministry
You may remember the Urban Feeding Ministry from before COVID. We have since revamped this rewarding ministry and we are excited to announce we will be continuing this for 2022 and renaming it the Saturday Lunch Ministry. We will be in charge of packing lunches on months with a 5th Saturday. If you are interested in helping with future events, please email Winston to sign up or with questions.
Next lunch packing event will be Saturday, July 29, 2023.
Red Cross Blood Drives - Held Throughout the Year
Stay up to date with the latest events by subscribing to our newsletter or liking us on Facebook. We hold Blood Drives in our Parish Hall 4-5 times per year. Next Blood Drive is Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 8:00am-1:00pm.
Welborne United Methodist Food Pantry
We have partnered with the Welborne Church Community Food Pantry to help our local community during these difficult times. Their mission is "to serve those who are hungry in the West End of Richmond, feeding bodies and feeding hearts by loving our neighbor." We are collecting donations for their food pantry at All Saints. Canned food, rice, pasta, peanut butter, cereals, mac and cheese, and individually wrapped snacks can be left in the green shed by our playground. Please no glass containers of any kind. For more information, you can visit their facebook page for news and updates.
If you’re looking to volunteer, the Food Pantry needs you! Please send an email to email@example.com.
All Saints Community Garden
Check out the All Saints community Garden, on the east end of the parking lot. We have raised beds that are used to grow a variety of vegetables and herbs. Our preschool often uses a portion of the garden to help the children learn about how food is grown and where it comes from. The food we grow is given to Welborne United Methodist's Food Pantry to help feed the needy in our community.
We are always looking for more individuals or groups to help maintain our garden. If interested in helping even for an hour or two, please sign up here. We will contact our volunteers on an as needed basis for assistance.
Typically held in the Fall and the Spring, we hold two workdays to tackle indoor and outdoor projects. This is a great volunteer event for all ages and abilities. Jobs range from weeding in the garden to dusting and cleaning the pews in the church. Look out for these events in our weekly newsletter. If you are interested in helping keep our building maintained, consider joining our building and grounds committee.
