Narthex Baptismal Font

The large baptismal font, which came from the All Saints building that once stood in downtown Richmond, is one of two used at All Saints (the other, in the shape of a shell, is used when a baptism is celebrated before the entire congregation during the weekly celebration of the Resurrection).  As the Book of Common Prayer defines it: “Holy Baptism is [the] full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble.”
